My little Navester....

I am so sad to post that my best little buddy passed away last evening after a short illness. Navin (named afterTiger Stadium in Detroit in 1912) passed away suddenly and we miss him so very much. I will always remember and appreciate his friendship as he has been by my side for almost 13-years.

Navin, you are now in Heaven with my little Robyn who will continue to love you as you watch over me.

Hipstamatic for iPhone!

Ah, my new fave toy is my Hipstamatic application on my iPhone!!  Navin and Gibson were my patient subjects last night as I try to get the hang of the different options.  I'm sure you'll be seeing more of these photos on LaNa!

Today I saw a posting on Modish and I just had to research the artist further.  Pet beds made from old, recycled suitcases and table legs.  Brilliant!!!! 

Our Anniversary!

My beloved feline friend, Navin (aka Nave, Navester, Kitty Yum Yum, Fatty Warbuckle) and I recently celebrated 11 years of living-together bliss!

He is a wonderful little (well, not that little - let's just say there's a lot of him to love!) friend whom I fell in love with when volunteering as a cat socializer at the San Francisco SPCA.

Not much was known about Navin when we adopted each other. While they estimated his age at 8 or 9 years old, I'm constantly thinking they had to have gotten his age wrong. Maybe due to his bad teeth? He is one lively cat who definitely doesn't act 20!!

We've had some great times together and I know we will continue to have more. Here are some pictures of him on our anniversary - March 9.

I thought I would share a photo of a recent home cooked meal which Navin tried to enjoy with me!

Not the best picture - it was taken quickly with my cell - but it shows Navin in his usual lounging position while eating/drinking! And, Kaleigh is in the background ready to sneak a taste!! The heart on the wall was a gift to Navin from my sister with his name on it. Some wall art for him to mark his territory!
